Bandaids for the Broken
A modern twisted medicine RPG. What did we expect? Really, is it any surprise? It started as a few, “terrorist attacks,” but did we ever really stop to consider that we might actually be the terrorists? Someone was bound to retaliate sooner or later, it just so happened that the North Koreans were the first to step to the plate. Their attack was swift and efficient, catching the U.S military almost entirely off guard. It was a war on home soil, and it was a bloody one. Some people called it the apocalypse, others admit that it was probably, “deserved”. Regardless, it will be written in the history books as World War III. Ten years later and the United States is still recovering from the devastation that the 4 year war caused. Millions were injured, if not buried entirely, and what was once our proud land of freedom has been rendered nearly uninhabitable. With a few exceptions. Palm Springs, California, where our story takes place, is the location of one of the largest hospitals in North America. Fairview Regional Medical Centre withstood the impact of the war, even going so far as to thrive despite all obstacles. People travelled from all over in order to seek the hospital’s refuge, and Fairview welcomed everyone with open arms. Now it homes some of the most brilliant minds in medicine. Doctors, surgeons and nurses work to care for and save the lives of thousands, but there is a darkness looming on the horizon. Amidst the chaos, countless patients are dying with little to no explanation. During the war, it was easy to lose track, but now… things are growing increasingly suspicious. Who, or what, is killing these people? Is it an act of bioterrorism? Or something much more sinister?
