Currently in its eighth incarnation, Realms of Hyrule is a Legend of Zelda themed, play-by-post style roleplay which originally came into being in 2003. Our setting takes place 20 years after a great war between the Hyrulean and Dragmiran armies devastated the country, as original player characters navigate the aftermath. Princess Zelda, her green-clad Champion, and even the evil Ganondorf Dragmire have been mysteriously missing since the start of the war, but new heroes and villains have begun to arise. Our site features our own, optional, battle system for undertaking quests and increasing the power of your character, as well as a unique Flashback system which rewards players for writing short stories from their characters past. The setting itself is an amalgamation of locations across the Legend of Zelda series, from the franchises conception to the present day.
